Sports Facilities

The Sporting Facilities zone will be home to Fiji’s leading rugby training gym, indoor comprehensive stadium and fitness gym. In addition, several open-air basketball courts, tennis courts and other sports fields will be built around these gyms to serve all urban residents.

Some mid-range flats and a civic sports park will be built in the northwestern part of the general sports base. In addition to being used as ordinary residences, The flats here will also provide accommodation for athletes who come here for training. The Civic Sports Park will be open to all urban residents and tourists as a public green space. A green jogging track has been built inside the park. In addition to the common fitness equipment and sports facilities, a full-size football field will also be constructed.

The completion of the general sports base marks the upgrading of the sports facilities of Suva and the promotion of the construction of advanced modern sports grounds. It also encourages the general public to participate in sports and enjoy a healthier ecological life.
